Iron Lady

Ahhh Paris! The tower stands 320 metres (1,050 ft) tall, about the same height as an 81-story building. La Tour Eiffel, nickname La dame de fer, the iron lady is a puddled iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars. Built as the entrance arch to the 1889 World’s Fair, it is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower.

Birds

When I finally laid ink to paper, the desire to pass my drawing class was the motivation to observe simplicity of form. Now looking back I am glad to have this memory of that moment, the point of action portrayed in a movement.

Green Eggs and Hills

Green Eggs and Ham was one of Suess’s beginner books. The vocabulary of the text consists of just fifty different words and was the result of a bet between Seuss and Bennett Cerf (Dr. Seuss's publisher) that Seuss (after completing The Cat in the Hat using 225 words) could not complete an entire book using so few words. The 50 are: a, am, and, anywhere, are, be, boat, box, car, could, dark, do, eat, eggs, fox, goat, good, green, ham, here, house, I, if, in, let, like, may, me, mouse, not, on, or, rain, Sam, say, see, so, thank, that, the, them, there, they, train, tree, try, will, with, would, you.
