Resonating with that which surrounds us —thoughts attracting dreams
becoming reality. Color sets the mood, a pause to appreciate existence,
if only to oneself. Are you raising your vibration? What means do you
recommend?

The Dreaming
A common term
within the animist creation narrative of indigenous Australians for a
personal, or group, creation and for what may be understood as the
“timeless time” of formative creation and perpetual creating. In
addition, the term applies to places and localities on indigenous
Australian traditional land where the uncreated creation spirits and
totemic ancestors, or genii loci, reside.

My Greatest Creation
Life is the
spark of infinite potential, knowing we know nothing. Hesitant to add to
the burgeoning population the conversation had been beaten to death,
“should we have a baby?” With no logical reason to procreate I was
resigned to childhood dreams of being a mommy. After all, I heard only
complaints from parents about their children, why should I be bothered?
Since giving birth to my son last year I have to admit my world is a
billion times more rich than I ever could’ve imagined. I re-learned how
to feel again, I mean really feel the weight of existence for all it’s
worth. The joy of experiencing a new life is positively immeasurable and
I would recommend it to all those that love to laugh.

Sleepscape
The earliest
recorded dream interpretations date back approximately 5000 years, in
Mesopotamia, where they were documented on clay tablets. Dreams were
historically used for healing as well as for guidance or divine
inspiration. Some Native American tribes used vision quests as a rite of
passage, fasting and praying until an anticipated guiding dream was
received, to be shared with the rest of the tribe upon their return.
Lucid dreaming is the conscious perception of one’s state while
dreaming. In this state the dreamer may often have some degree of
control over their own actions within the dream or even the characters
and the environment of the dream. If you’re not controlling your dreams
who is?

Dream Storm
In the eye of
the storm everything is eerily still. All of a sudden over the hill
comes a shattering noise accompanied by a gigantic red cyclone of
rubble. I sit up in my bed startled by these images and proceed to write
it down in my dream journal. This painting is what the dream feels
like, chaotic order of sorts.

Intricacies of Roses
New publication ROSES by Trevi Bennett now

2/24 Jona and I were at a huge outdoor concert and we heard a rumor
that the government was going to shut it down. We were sitting at a
picnic table under an awning when we saw the military come over the
hill, no warning, just tear gas and bullets. We ran to find our car, but
they were bombing everything and we couldn’t get there. We decided to
get out and all of a sudden we were at a large wooden house, going down a
jagged rock wall to escape. I said, “Let’s go the other way.” We ran
and jumped to the neighboring cliff that was covered with snow. After
traversing around a few corners I realized Jona was on the other side
and I was incredibly high up on the cliff. We were divided by a river. I
thought to myself what if I jump and don’t make it?
