Tone
Resonating with that which surrounds us —thoughts attracting dreams
becoming reality. Color sets the mood, a pause to appreciate existence,
if only to oneself. Are you raising your vibration? What means do you
recommend?

Wounds
After treating a few small cuts on my legs with both colloidal silver and organic virgin coconut oil they were a fraction of their original size the next day. Without making any claims, I must say I’ve found something significant in the combination of these two. Do your own research of course, but in the meantime it doesn’t hurt to try something new. Or you may have known about this for sometime now? If so do tell!

Thoughts
Consistency,
ritual, repetition, repeat. What are your daily exercises? Do you have
extra time? Perhaps we could get all the people with extra time to send a
little bit to those that have no time? Just a thought...

Solstice
Five years
ago today I married my best friend in a meadow. I am one of those people
that never thought it could happen to them. Doomed to be eternally
single? You never know where love is lurking, waiting to pounce.
Sometimes you just have to open your heart to the unknown.

Aerial
A snapshot of
my window view leaving the gorgeous Yucatan. Capturing a moment in time
through my iPhone lens. Who would have thought almost anyone could take
an aerial photograph? Technology and worldwide travel have provided us
an opportunity to take such images through various platforms including
fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, balloons, blimps, rockets, kites, and
parachutes. Cool!

Memories
What
makes a certain image pop into your thoughts? Do you have recurring
memories at odd times yet other memories are lost for good? What prompts
a memory if not a smell, sound or feeling?

Dahlia
Gathered in the wild and cultivated, it was used as a food source by indigenous peoples. The
Aztecs used them to treat epilepsy and employed the long hollow stem of
the (Dahlia imperalis) for water pipes. The indigenous peoples
variously identified the plants as "Chichipatl" (Toltecs) and "Acocotle"
or "Cocoxochitl" (Aztecs). Commonly called "water cane", "water pipe",
"water pipe flower", and "cane flower". Who needs a new water pipe?

Solarize
I’ve been
having fun lately with my photo application on my iPhone 4s called
Dynamic Light. The coolest feature I think is the solarize filter that
takes any simple black and white and trips it out. I’ve been fantasizing
about fashion lately so here is a sparkly little number by Susana
Monaco.

Younger
Realizing
nature is harsh, actually more like violent, I feel blessed to be alive.
Anyone that has had a near death experience knows an appreciation for
the simple things goes a long way. This image was taken after my
birthday hike up Waipa Valley in Kauai 2005, it’s hard to believe that
was seven years ago! I’m thankful to have made it through another seven
year cycle, how about you?

Strawberries
Xylitol is an organic compound found in the fibers of many fruits and
vegetables, and can be extracted from various berries, oats, and
mushrooms, as well as fibrous material such as corn husks and sugar cane
bagasse, and birch. “Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye” is an incredible book, highly recommend adding xylitol to your daily routine.

Sky Scraper
Skew lines
are two lines that do not intersect and are not parallel. Equivalently,
they are lines that are not coplanar. Lines that are coplanar either
intersect or are parallel, so skew lines exist only in three or more
dimensions.

The Dreaming
A common term
within the animist creation narrative of indigenous Australians for a
personal, or group, creation and for what may be understood as the
“timeless time” of formative creation and perpetual creating. In
addition, the term applies to places and localities on indigenous
Australian traditional land where the uncreated creation spirits and
totemic ancestors, or genii loci, reside.

Bloom HD
Recently we
downloaded a cool application to our iPad called Bloom HD for our
one-year-old son to play. Beginning with a blank color --- every time
you touch the screen it creates a sound and a visual. I took a couple
photos with my iPhone to demonstrate the coolness factor!

Light It Up
Upon
requesting their best tequila our waiter suggested we start with the
tasty tourista appetizer of tortillas and burnt queso. Many cocktails
later we were almost tempted to light up a cigar from this statue’s
generous flame. Mexico at it’s finest...tourista finest that is.

Alpaca or Llama
Llamas
appear to have originated from the central plains of North America
about 40 million years ago. They migrated to South America about 3
million years ago. Alpacas are considerably smaller than llamas, and
unlike llamas, they were not bred to be beasts of burden but were bred
specifically for their fiber. Alpaca fleece is a lustrous and silky
natural fiber. While similar to sheep’s wool, it is warmer, not prickly,
and bears no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic.
